John graduated from the London School of Veterinary Medicine in the late 1960s. He dedicated his entire professional career to equine reproduction. In addition to his clinical work, he published numerous articles in international journals and books, and delivered lectures and presentations at conferences around the world.

He graduated from the National University of Colombia in 1982 and subsequently worked in private practice focusing on large animals—dairy cattle and horses. In 1985, he began his studies at the University of Minnesota, where he earned his PhD in 1990, specializing in reproductive physiology and clinical reproduction.

A veterinary doctor, graduate of FMVZ/UNESP – Botucatu, holding a master’s degree in animal reproduction from the same institution. He has published numerous articles in high-impact scientific journals as well as book chapters dedicated to equine reproduction.

A reproduction-specialized veterinarian from Poland, with extensive international experience gained on both hemispheres. She has worked in leading equine stud farms as well as in embryo transfer and oocyte retrieval (OPU) centers around the world.

Roberto Sánchez is an international specialist in assisted equine reproduction, with more than twenty-five years of experience gained in Europe and both Americas. He is best known for his pioneering work in oocyte retrieval (OPU) and other related technologies such as ICSI.

Carolina has worked as an embryologist for 25 years, specializing in the in vitro production of bovine and equine embryos—both for research projects and commercial services for breeders.

Duccio Panzani graduated in veterinary medicine from the University of Pisa in 2001 and earned his PhD in 2005. His research focuses on the reproduction of horses and donkeys, and he gained international experience at institutions including Colorado State University.

Mohamed K. Derbala is an assistant professor at the Animal Reproduction Research Institute in Egypt and head of the Imaging and Endoscopy Department. He is also the owner and director of Derbala Equine Clinic. In 2013, he earned his PhD with research focused on endometritis in mares.

A specialist in equine medicine and one of two surgeons on the team performing colic surgeries at the Equine Hospital in Służewiec. In addition to surgery, his clinical work focuses primarily on equine reproduction, including gynecology, obstetrics, insemination, embryo transfer (ET), and oocyte transfer (CC).

Katrien Smits completed her master’s degree in veterinary medicine at Ghent University in 2006. Her doctoral research focused on intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) in horses, which resulted in the birth of the first Belgian foal produced using this technique. Since 2022, she has been serving as a professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Ghent University.
