We are delighted to invite you once again to the PolSKI CPD conference, following the success of its first edition. PolSKI CPD offers a unique opportunity to delve into the intimate atmosphere of a mountain village while gaining valuable insights into the latest advancements in equine reproduction veterinary techniques. This year, we invite you for a full 4-day training program! For three days, we have scheduled several hours of lectures dedicated to mare and stallion reproduction. On the last day, you will have the opportunity to participate in practical workshops held at a stable located nearby.These talks will be delivered by renowned specialists from all around the world.
In between lectures, experienced instructors with a background in competition will lead skiing training sessions. During this edition, you will also have the opportunity to participate in ski touring training! In the evenings, we will come together to enjoy winter activities such as sleigh rides, bonfires, and regional feasts.
Conference
During the academic portion of the trip, you will have the opportunity to attend lectures on the latest reproductive biotechnology techniques, practical aspects of mare breeding, insemination, and stallion andrology. On the last day, you will take part in a practical session where, in small groups, you will independently, under the guidance of top specialists, explore the latest horse reproduction techniques.

Accommodation
Hotel Meta Szczyrk, a beautiful four-star hotel located directly on the slopes of a picturesque mountain village, will be our accommodation. The hotel offers numerous attractions to cater to everyone’s needs. After a fulfilling day, guests can relax in the Wellness Zone, which includes saunas, live jazz music, and a swimming pool. Winter evenings can be spent in the hotel bar, sipping on a glass of red wine. As part of the conference, full board will be provided in the hotel restaurant. You will be accommodated in comfortable and modern twin rooms, equipped with single beds, spacious bathrooms, TVs, and free internet access.
Ski Experience:
The daily four-hour ski practice sessions will leave you feeling fulfilled and refreshed. Through exercises, analysis, and ample time on the slopes, those with prior skiing experience can reach a higher level of skill and understanding. For beginners, we will introduce you to the exhilarating sense of freedom that skiing provides, as well as teach you how to navigate the slopes with ease and, most importantly, safety. This year, we are also organizing a ski touring trip for both beginners and more advanced skiers, allowing you to immerse yourself in the wilder side of the Polish mountains. The practice sessions will take place in Szczyrk Mountain Resort, conveniently located near the hotel. Skiers will have access to over 30 slopes of varying difficulty, spread across the beautiful mountains surrounding the town. In total, the ski slopes in Szczyrk cover a length of 40 km.
Not skiing? No problem!
This year we prepared an additional attractions for those of you not interested in skiing. In the time between the lectures you will be given an opportunity to walk the picturesque mountain paths, visit nearby historical sites and see other attractions.
Additional one day guided trip to Krakow (22-23 of January / before the conference)
In response to your feedback from last year, we are offering an additional day for those interested to explore Krakow and its surroundings. During this day, you will participate in a guided walk through the old town and former Jewish district. Furthermore, we have prepared a visit to the oldest salt mine in Europe – Wieliczka. During this one-and-a-half-day excursion, you will be accommodated in a 3-star hotel in Krakow and indulge in Polish specialties during dinner at a restaurant in the heart of the Old Town. Krakow, as the capital of Polish kings with over a thousand years of tradition, has a lot to offer you, and memories from the trip to the salt mine will surely stay with you for a long time!
